Italy (X tons), Portugal (X tons) and India (X tons) were the main destinations of leather exports from Algeria, with a combined 96% share of total exports.

Germany (X tons), Italy (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of leather imports to Algeria, together comprising 70% of total imports. France, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, India and Turkey lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 30%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by India (with a CAGR of +24.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
