Telephone Apparatus Market Size in Algeria

In 2022, the Algerian telephone apparatus market was finally on the rise to reach $X for the first time since 2015, thus ending a six-year declining trend. Over the period under review, consumption, however, saw a noticeable reduction. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, telephone apparatus exports fell slightly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports posted pronounced growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 147%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Sweden (X tons) was the main destination for telephone apparatus exports from Algeria, with a 38% share of total exports. Moreover, telephone apparatus exports to Sweden exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Netherlands (X kg), sevenfold. The United States (X kg) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 4.1% share.

In 2022, overseas purchases of telephone apparatus were finally on the rise to reach X tons after four years of decline. In general, imports, however, saw a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 107%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, telephone apparatus imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a pronounced downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 81% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
