After three years of decline, the Angolan wooden door market increased by 79% to $X in 2021. In general, consumption, however, faced a deep setback. Over the period under review, the market hit record highs at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, consumption remained at a lower figure.

Congo (X units) was the main destination for wooden door exports from Angola, with a 56% share of total exports. Moreover, wooden door exports to Congo exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Portugal (X units), threefold. Sao Tome and Principe (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 15% share.

In terms of the main countries of destination, Sao Tome and Principe, with a CAGR of +85.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a precipitous slump.
