In 2021, supplies from abroad of frozen whole fish decreased by -71.6% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. In general, imports saw a sharp curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 103%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, frozen whole fish imports contracted dramatically to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a sharp reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 79% against the previous year.
