In 2022, shipments abroad of heat exchange units was finally on the rise to reach X units after three years of decline. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a drastic downturn. The exports peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 504% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, heat exchange unit imports declined markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed perceptible growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 378%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.

China (X units), the United States (X units) and Portugal (X units) were the main suppliers of heat exchange unit imports to Angola, with a combined 76% share of total imports.
