From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, iron and steel wire imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a sharp downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 54% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of iron and steel wire to Angola, with a 38% share of total imports. Moreover, iron and steel wire imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Spain (X tons), threefold. Turkey (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 9.6% share.
