Portugal (X units) was the main destination for exports of non-woven, felt and coated textile garments from Angola, with a 92% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of non-woven, felt and coated textile garments to Portugal exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Sao Tome and Principe (X units), more than tenfold.

In 2021, supplies from abroad of non-woven, felt and coated textile garments increased by 101% to X units, rising for the fourth consecutive year after three years of decline. Over the period under review, imports showed a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 186% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of non-woven, felt and coated textile garments surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports posted a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 136%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports of failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
China (X units), the United Arab Emirates (X units) and Portugal (X units) were the main suppliers of imports of non-woven, felt and coated textile garments to Angola, together comprising 75% of total imports. South Africa, Hong Kong SAR, India, Pakistan, Belgium and Namibia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 16%.

Overall, import price indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the last nine years.
