Exports by Country
Democratic Republic of the Congo (X tons), Congo (X kg) and Bahamas (X kg) were the main destinations of sauce and seasoning exports from Angola, together comprising 70% of total exports. These countries were followed by Namibia, Spain, Germany and Canada, which together accounted for a further 22%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Canada (with a CAGR of +380.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Bahamas ($X), Democratic Republic of the Congo ($X) and Congo ($X) were the largest markets for sauce and seasoning exported from Angola worldwide, together comprising 58% of total exports. From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bahamas (+34.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Angola
In 2021, overseas purchases of sauces and seasonings decreased by -10.4% to X tons, falling for the third consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports showed a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 87%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, sauce and seasoning imports contracted to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 92%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Belgium (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of sauce and seasoning to Angola, accounting for a 29% share of total imports. Moreover, sauce and seasoning imports from Belgium exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Portugal (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by China (X tons), with a 3.2% share.

These countries were followed by Turkey, China, Oman, Spain, the Netherlands, Senegal, Brazil and Lebanon, which together accounted for a further 8%.
In terms of the main suppliers, Turkey, with a CAGR of +17.9%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average sauce and seasoning import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, flattening at the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a perceptible shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average import price increased by 13%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Portugal ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
