Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, air conditioning machine exports shrank markedly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 59% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Brazil (X units), Chile (X units) and Paraguay (X units) were the main destinations of air conditioning machine exports from Argentina, with a combined 73% share of total exports. Panama, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Venezuela lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 26%.

As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, air conditioning machine imports amounted to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 53% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

China (X units), Brazil (X units) and Spain (X units) were the main suppliers of air conditioning machine imports to Argentina, together comprising 86% of total imports. These countries were followed by South Korea, the Czech Republic, Thailand and France, which together accounted for a further 8.1%.
