In value terms, expanded clays imports shrank notably to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, posted a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 134%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

The Netherlands (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and Ukraine (X tons) were the main suppliers of expanded clays imports to Argentina, together comprising 51% of total imports.
