As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Canada (X tons), Bolivia (X tons) and Uruguay (X tons) were the main destinations of hop exports from Argentina, with a combined 60% share of total exports. The United States, Brazil, Paraguay and Chile lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 40%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the United States (with a CAGR of +24.9%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bolivia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Brazil (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, approx. X tons of hops were imported into Argentina; surging by 9.6% on 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports showed a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 144%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, hop imports totaled $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 115% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In 2022, the United States (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of hop to Argentina, accounting for a 86% share of total imports. Moreover, hop imports from the United States exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), more than tenfold. The Czech Republic (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 4.4% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from the United States totaled +11.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+6.9% per year) and the Czech Republic (+62.1% per year).

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from the United States stood at +16.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+7.1% per year) and the Czech Republic (+71.7% per year).

Overall, import price indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, hop import price increased by +12.4% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 44%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per ton), while the price for Germany ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
