Uruguay (X tons), Paraguay (X tons) and Bolivia (X tons) were the main destinations of non-alloy steel i-sections exports from Argentina, together accounting for 66% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Bolivia (with a CAGR of +16.2%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, total imports indicated a perceptible increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 99% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, non-alloy steel i-sections imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded mild growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
Spain (X tons), Turkey (X tons) and Brazil (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-alloy steel i-sections imports to Argentina, with a combined 57% share of total imports. Mexico, Bahrain and Poland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 21%.
