In value terms, fishing rod imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate slight growth. Imports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest fishing rod supplier to Argentina, with a 78% share of total imports. Moreover, fishing rod imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Spain (X tons), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was held by South Korea (X tons), with a 5.3% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at -4.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Spain (+26.9% per year) and South Korea (-2.0% per year).
