In general, imports, however, saw significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 92%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, camel and other animal meat imports contracted notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 138%. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Germany (X kg) constituted the largest camel and other animal meat supplier to Argentina, accounting for a 39% share of total imports. Moreover, camel and other animal meat imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X kg), threefold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Germany stood at +20.5%.
