Overall, imports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 401% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, cyclic hydrocarbons imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 232%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

South Korea (X tons), Spain (X tons) and Brazil (X tons) were the main suppliers of cyclic hydrocarbons imports to Argentina, together comprising 79% of total imports. These countries were followed by Israel and Belgium, which together accounted for a further 5.7%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Israel (with a CAGR of +17.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline.
