From 2012 to 2014, the average annual growth rate of value to the Netherlands totaled -92.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (-88.3% per year) and Norway (0.0% per year).

In 2014, the average quinoa export price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 116% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a significant increase. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2014, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Norway ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2014, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+23.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, supplies from abroad of quinoa decreased by -17.7% to X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 326% against the previous year. In value terms, quinoa imports reduced notably to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 229% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2020, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.

In 2021, Peru (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of quinoa to Argentina, with a 86% share of total imports. Moreover, quinoa imports from Peru exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Bolivia (X tons), tenfold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Peru stood at +92.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Bolivia (-12.7% per year) and India (+17.0% per year).
In value terms, Peru ($X) constituted the largest supplier of quinoa to Argentina, comprising 90% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Bolivia ($X), with a 5.8% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Peru amounted to +80.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Bolivia (-14.7% per year) and India (+13.1% per year).

The average quinoa import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, declining by -17% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate noticeable growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 121% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Peru ($X per ton), while the price for Bolivia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bolivia (-2.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
