Overall, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 27%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, technical textiles imports amounted to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a mild contraction. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of technical textiles to Argentina, with a 58% share of total imports. Moreover, technical textiles imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Brazil (X tons), fivefold.
