The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the export price increased by 32% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($X per unit), while Singapore ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+2.9%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Imports in ASEAN
In 2022, approx. X units of electric shavers, hair-removing appliances and hair clippers were imported in ASEAN; dropping by -38.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 95% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, imports of electric shavers, hair-removing appliances and hair clippers dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a temperate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 347%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X.
