In 2021, the export price in ASEAN amounted to $X per unit, falling by -6.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the export price increased by 88%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while the Philippines amounted to $X per unit.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Singapore (+2.3%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in ASEAN

Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 68% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, calculator imports expanded markedly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Thailand (X units), Vietnam (X units), Malaysia (X units) and the Philippines (X units) represented roughly 83% of total imports in 2021. Indonesia (X units) ranks next in terms of the total imports with an 8.9% share, followed by Singapore (4.9%). Cambodia (X units) took a relatively small share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for the Philippines (with a CAGR of +7.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest calculator importing markets in ASEAN were Singapore ($X), Malaysia ($X) and Indonesia ($X), together accounting for 69% of total imports. Vietnam, the Philippines and Cambodia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.
Among the main importing countries, the Philippines, with a CAGR of +3.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.

The import price in ASEAN stood at $X per unit in 2021, waning by -12.6% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when the import price increased by 48%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while the Philippines ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
