The Philippines (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Singapore (X tons). All these countries together held approx. 44% share of total exports. Malaysia (X tons) took a little share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by the Philippines (with a CAGR of +13.1%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

In general, imports, however, saw a deep setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, grapefruit juice (single strength) imports rose rapidly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Singapore (X tons), distantly followed by the Philippines (X tons), Vietnam (X tons), Thailand (X tons), Indonesia (X tons), Malaysia (X tons) and Brunei Darussalam (X tons) represented the major importers of grapefruit juice (single strength), together committing 94% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Brunei Darussalam (with a CAGR of +16.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.

Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($X per ton), while Brunei Darussalam ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
