The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when exports increased by 216%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, hand-held blow pipe exports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 204% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
Exports by Country
Vietnam represented the key exporter of hand-held blow pipes for soldering, brazing or welding in ASEAN, with the volume of exports recording X units, which was near 73% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Singapore (X units), Malaysia (X units) and Indonesia (X units), together constituting a 27% share of total exports.
Vietnam was also the fastest-growing in terms of the hand-held blow pipes for soldering, brazing or welding exports, with a CAGR of +75.7% from 2012 to 2021. In Vietnam, hand-held blow pipe exports expanded at an average annual rate of +88.5% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Singapore (-16.0% per year) and Malaysia (-7.2% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in ASEAN amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 12% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while Malaysia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, purchases abroad of hand-held blow pipes for soldering, brazing or welding increased by 21% to X units, rising for the fifth year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, imports enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 163%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, hand-held blow pipe imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate a perceptible expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 222% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Indonesia (X units) was the main importer of hand-held blow pipes for soldering, brazing or welding, achieving 69% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Malaysia (X units) and Thailand (X units), together comprising a 24% share of total imports. The following importers - Singapore (X units), Cambodia (X units) and the Philippines (X units) - each amounted to a 6.2% share of total imports.

In value terms, Indonesia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported hand-held blow pipes for soldering, brazing or welding in ASEAN, comprising 56% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Malaysia ($X), with a 28% share of total imports. It was followed by Singapore, with a 6.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Indonesia amounted to +32.8%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Malaysia (-1.3% per year) and Singapore (-8.3% per year).

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($X per unit), while Cambodia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
