In value terms, Singapore ($X), Thailand ($X) and the Philippines ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 83% share of total exports.
The Philippines, with a CAGR of +29.9%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

In 2021, the export price in ASEAN amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -27.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 210%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($X per unit), while Thailand ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+11.7%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 16%. Over the period under review, non-numerically controlled laimports reached the peak figure at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, non-numerically controlled lathe imports contracted modestly to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a deep contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 33%. Over the period under review, non-numerically controlled laimports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Indonesia (X units) and Thailand (X units) dominates imports structure, together making up 92% of total imports. Vietnam (X units) and the Philippines (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by the Philippines (with a CAGR of -1.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.
