Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a pronounced setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, beverage manufacturing press exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a slight curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Singapore represented the key exporting country with an export of about X tons, which amounted to X% of total exports. Thailand (X tons) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Malaysia (X%) and Vietnam (X%).

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Vietnam (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.

In value terms, the largest beverage manufacturing press supplying countries in ASEAN were Singapore ($X), Thailand ($X) and Malaysia ($X), together comprising X% of total exports. Vietnam lagged somewhat behind, accounting for a further X%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Vietnam, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in ASEAN amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, major exporting countries recorded the following prices: in Thailand ($X per ton) and Singapore ($X per ton), while Vietnam ($X per ton) and Malaysia ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the fifth year in a row, ASEAN recorded decline in supplies from abroad of presses and crushers for beverages manufacturing, which decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a deep slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, beverage manufacturing press imports dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a pronounced downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Indonesia represented the major importer of presses and crushers for beverages manufacturing in ASEAN, with the volume of imports reaching X tons, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2022. Malaysia (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Vietnam (X tons) and Singapore (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total imports. The following importers - the Philippines (X tons) and Thailand (X tons) - each accounted for a X% share of total imports.

Imports into Indonesia decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Vietnam (X%) and Singapore (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in ASEAN, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Malaysia (X%), Thailand (X%) and the Philippines (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore increased by X, X and X percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In terms of the main importing countries, Vietnam, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in ASEAN amounted to $X per ton, which is down by X% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a perceptible expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the import price increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per ton), while Indonesia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Philippines (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
