The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, textile rubber hose exports surged to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.3% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports decreased by -8.4% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 33% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Malaysia (X tons) and Thailand (X tons) dominates exports structure, together generating 92% of total exports. The following exporters - Indonesia (X tons), Vietnam (X tons) and Singapore (X tons) - together made up 7.4% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Vietnam (with a CAGR of +13.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Thailand ($X) remains the largest textile rubber hose supplier in ASEAN, comprising 58% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Malaysia ($X), with a 29% share of total exports. It was followed by Indonesia, with a 5.6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Thailand stood at +9.4%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Malaysia (+0.7% per year) and Indonesia (+26.4% per year).

The export price in ASEAN stood at $X per ton in 2021, with a decrease of -4.1% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the export price increased by 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2020, and then declined in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($X per ton), while Malaysia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+15.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, Indonesia (X tons), distantly followed by Thailand (X tons), Singapore (X tons), the Philippines (X tons), Vietnam (X tons) and Malaysia (X tons) were the main importers of rubber hose reinforced with textiles, together creating 98% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Malaysia (with a CAGR of +12.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest textile rubber hose importing markets in ASEAN were Indonesia ($X), Thailand ($X) and Vietnam ($X), together comprising 77% of total imports. These countries were followed by Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, which together accounted for a further 22%.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per ton), while the Philippines ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
