From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Indonesia amounted to +10.3%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Thailand (-0.8% per year) and Vietnam (+50.3% per year).

In 2021, the export price in ASEAN amounted to $X per unit, growing by 15% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.7%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when the export price increased by 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per unit), while Singapore ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+17.2%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in ASEAN
In 2021, imports of straw or fodder balers, including pickup balers in ASEAN skyrocketed to X units, growing by 79% compared with 2020 figures. Over the period under review, imports recorded a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 213% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
In value terms, straw for fodder balers imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 127% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

Thailand prevails in imports structure, finishing at X units, which was near 91% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Vietnam (X units), constituting a 5.8% share of total imports. Cambodia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Thailand was also the fastest-growing in terms of the straw or fodder balers, including pickup balers imports, with a CAGR of +83.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Vietnam (+48.5%) and Cambodia (+35.1%) displayed positive paces of growth.
