Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, turbo-jet (under X kN) exports declined dramatically to $X in 2022. In general, exports showed a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by 306%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Malaysia (X units), Singapore (X units) and Vietnam (X units) represented the largest exporter of turbo-jets of a thrust not exceeding X kN in ASEAN, committing 76% of total export. It was distantly followed by Thailand (X units) and Indonesia (X units), together constituting a 24% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Vietnam (with a CAGR of +33.5%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.
In value terms, Singapore ($X) remains the largest turbo-jet (under X kN) supplier in ASEAN, comprising 84% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($X), with an 8.8% share of total exports. It was followed by Malaysia, with a 4.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Singapore stood at +5.1%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Vietnam (+137.6% per year) and Malaysia (+18.8% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in ASEAN amounted to $X per unit, declining by -38.1% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 207%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2020 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while Indonesia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Turbo-jet (under X kN) imports reduced rapidly to X units in 2022, waning by -65.2% against 2021 figures. Overall, imports recorded a sharp shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 74% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, turbo-jet (under X kN) imports dropped significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a precipitous contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 387% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Singapore was the key importing country with an import of around X units, which accounted for 50% of total imports. Indonesia (X units) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Malaysia (X units), Lao People's Democratic Republic (X units), Vietnam (X units) and the Philippines (X units). All these countries together held approx. 49% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to turbo-jet (under X kN) imports into Singapore stood at -20.9%. At the same time, Lao People's Democratic Republic (+17.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Lao People's Democratic Republic emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in ASEAN, with a CAGR of +17.5% from 2012-2022. The Philippines and Indonesia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Vietnam (-4.0%) and Malaysia (-20.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, Singapore ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported turbo-jets of a thrust not exceeding X kN in ASEAN, comprising 96% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Indonesia ($X), with a 3.3% share of total imports. It was followed by Lao People's Democratic Republic, with a 0.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Singapore totaled -1.3%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Indonesia (-11.2% per year) and Lao People's Democratic Republic (+48.1% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in ASEAN stood at $X per unit in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, posted a significant increase.
