From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by South Korea (with a CAGR of +27.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, China ($X), Turkey ($X) and India ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together comprising 90% of total exports. Iran and South Korea lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 6.9%.

South Korea, with a CAGR of +22.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the export price in Asia amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 8.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a slight descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the export price increased by 15% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was India ($X per unit), while Turkey ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, threshing machinery imports reduced to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 147% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. Imports into Kazakhstan increased at an average annual rate of +13.7% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Pakistan (+33.9%), Lao People's Democratic Republic (+33.5%), Nepal (+11.3%), Iraq (+7.2%), Thailand (+2.6%) and China (+1.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Pakistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Asia, with a CAGR of +33.9% from 2012-2022. While the share of Kazakhstan (+17 p.p.), Lao People's Democratic Republic (+3.3 p.p.) and Pakistan (+1.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of China (-2.1 p.p.) and Thailand (-2.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported threshing machinery except combine harvester-threshers in Asia, comprising 57% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Nepal ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by China, with a 4.6% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Kazakhstan stood at +13.0%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Nepal (+9.7% per year) and China (+5.7% per year).
