Exports by Country
Tajikistan represented the largest exporting country with an export of about X tons, which accounted for 47% of total exports. China (X tons) held a 20% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Oman (8.5%), Myanmar (6.4%), Thailand (5%) and Vietnam (4.8%). South Korea (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to antimony exports from Tajikistan stood at +31.0%. At the same time, Oman (+149.8%), Myanmar (+28.2%), Thailand (+17.9%) and China (+1.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, Tajikistan ($X) remains the largest antimony supplier in Asia, comprising 48% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by China ($X), with a 21% share of total exports. It was followed by Oman, with an 8.9% share.
In Tajikistan, antimony exports expanded at an average annual rate of +34.9% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: China (+1.9% per year) and Oman (+285.9% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Asia amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 20% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the export price increased by 62%. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per ton), while Thailand ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Japan represented the main importer of antimony in Asia, with the volume of imports reaching X tons, which was near 45% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by South Korea (X tons), India (X tons), China (X tons) and Thailand (X tons), together committing a 43% share of total imports. Pakistan (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) held a little share of total imports.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the import price increased by 68%. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, major importing countries recorded the following prices: in China ($X per ton) and South Korea ($X per ton), while Pakistan ($X per ton) and Thailand ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
