Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +10.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Vietnam (+21.9%), Singapore (+11.8%), Thailand (+8.2%), Turkey (+4.7%), Japan (+1.7%) and India (+1.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +21.9% from 2012-2022. South Korea experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of China (+15 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of India (-2.6 p.p.), Japan (-2.9 p.p.) and South Korea (-4 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest circuit breaker supplier in Asia, comprising 45% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Japan ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by South Korea, with a 10% share.

In China, circuit breaker exports expanded at an average annual rate of +6.1% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Japan (+0.1% per year) and South Korea (-1.4% per year).

In value terms, the largest circuit breaker importing markets in Asia were Turkey ($X), China ($X) and Japan ($X), with a combined 28% share of total imports. The United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan (Chinese) and Iraq lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 43%.

In terms of the main importing countries, Vietnam, with a CAGR of +6.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the import price in Asia amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -15.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a noticeable decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 2.7% against the previous year.
