Chandelier Market Size in Asia

In 2022, after six years of growth, there was significant decline in the Asian chandelier market, when its value decreased by -27.3% to $X. In general, consumption saw a significant increase. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X, and then dropped markedly in the following year.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 65%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, chandelier imports reduced slightly to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. Vietnam (X units), Thailand (X units), the Philippines (X units), Taiwan (Chinese) (X units), Kazakhstan (X units), Hong Kong SAR (X units) and Uzbekistan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of +46.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Japan ($X), the United Arab Emirates ($X) and South Korea ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, with a combined 36% share of total imports. Israel, Iraq, Thailand, Vietnam, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Taiwan (Chinese), Hong Kong SAR, the Philippines and Uzbekistan lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 35%.

In terms of the main importing countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +26.8%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Asia stood at $X per unit in 2022, waning by -32.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 96%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per unit), while Qatar ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (-5.9%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
