The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 49% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

China represented the major exporting country with an export of about X tons, which resulted at 57% of total exports. It was distantly followed by India (X tons), constituting a 35% share of total exports. Total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +8.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
