In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest ceramic electrical insulator supplier in Asia, comprising 62% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by India ($X), with a 20% share of total exports. It was followed by Japan, with a 7.1% share.

In China, ceramic electrical insulator exports shrank by an average annual rate of -2.0% over the period from 2020-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: India (+33.1% per year) and Japan (-28.1% per year).

In terms of the main importing countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +35.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the import price in Asia amounted to $X per unit, declining by -42.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a abrupt setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 463% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($X per unit), while Singapore ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
