From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in China was relatively modest. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Taiwan (Chinese) (-5.1% per year) and Hong Kong SAR (-9.2% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in Asia amounted to $X per unit, falling by -14.9% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a abrupt slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the export price increased by 22% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($X per unit), while China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In value terms, coin game imports reduced modestly to $X in 2021. In general, imports showed a abrupt shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 17%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

China (X units) and Japan (X units) represented the largest importers of games operated by coins, banknotes or discs in 2021, accounting for near 23% and 19% of total imports, respectively. It was distantly followed by Singapore (X units), Cyprus (X units), Hong Kong SAR (X units) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X units), together making up a 38% share of total imports. Vietnam (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Cyprus (with a CAGR of +69.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest coin game importing markets in Asia were Hong Kong SAR ($X), Japan ($X) and China ($X), together accounting for 50% of total imports. These countries were followed by Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan (Chinese) and Cyprus, which together accounted for a further 16%.
Among the main importing countries, Cyprus, with a CAGR of +15.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, growing by 2.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 11% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
