Exports from Thailand increased at an average annual rate of +7.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Hong Kong SAR (+34.7%), India (+14.2%) and Turkey (+1.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Hong Kong SAR emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +34.7% from 2012-2022. By contrast, China (-11.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Thailand and Hong Kong SAR increased by +23 and +2.4 percentage points, respectively. In 2022, the import price in Asia amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 32% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while Iraq ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
