By contrast, Vietnam (-4.5%), Indonesia (-5.0%), China (-5.0%), Taiwan (Chinese) (-6.0%), Singapore (-7.4%) and South Korea (-22.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Japan (+14 p.p.), the United Arab Emirates (+6.9 p.p.), Bangladesh (+2.3 p.p.) and the Philippines (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of South Korea (-26.4 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Japan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported iron/steel stud-link chain in Asia, comprising 31% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by China ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Singapore, with an 8.5% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Japan totaled -1.5%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: China (-5.1% per year) and Singapore (-6.5% per year).
