Oman dominates exports structure, amounting to X tons, which was near 77% of total exports in 2021. Turkey (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 9.3% share, followed by Iran (5.9%). The United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Pakistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from Oman increased at an average annual rate of +11.1% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Turkey (+47.2%), the United Arab Emirates (+9.9%) and Iran (+9.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Turkey emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +47.2% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Pakistan (-22.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Oman (+28 p.p.), Turkey (+8.9 p.p.) and Iran (+1.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Pakistan saw its share reduced by -23.3% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Oman ($X) remains the largest lucerne meal and pellets supplier in Asia, comprising 69% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Turkey ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Iran, with a 6.6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Oman totaled -4.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Turkey (+52.4% per year) and Iran (+16.8% per year).
