Moreover, Cambodia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +87.3% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Iran (-1.1%), India (-6.6%) and Pakistan (-8.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Turkey (+3.4 p.p.), the United Arab Emirates (+3.2 p.p.) and Cambodia (+1.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while India and Pakistan saw its share reduced by -1.9% and -2.9% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest marble and travertine blocks supplier in Asia, comprising 72% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Iran ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 4.3% share.
In Turkey, marble and travertine blocks exports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Iran (+2.3% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+36.8% per year).
