Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, mattress support exports expanded notably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports posted a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 32%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +96.1% against 2016 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Malaysia (X units), the United Arab Emirates (X units), China (X units), South Korea (X units) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) was the main importer of mattress supports in Asia, comprising 64% of total import. Indonesia (X units), Singapore (X units), Hong Kong SAR (X units), Vietnam (X units), Thailand (X units) and Kazakhstan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for South Korea (with a CAGR of +47.8%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
