The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 34% against the previous year. As a result, production attained the peak level of $X. From 2016 to 2021, production growth remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, approx. X units of moulds for glass were exported in Asia; jumping by 35% against 2020 figures. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed resilient growth. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, mould for glass exports surged to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +72.8% against 2015 indices. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, China (X units) was the main exporter of moulds for glass, comprising 68% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Turkey (X units) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X units), together mixing up a 29% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to mould for glass exports from China stood at +7.2%. At the same time, Turkey (+17.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Turkey emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +17.4% from 2012-2021. Taiwan (Chinese) experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Turkey increased by +14 percentage points. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest mould for glass supplier in Asia, comprising 64% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 25% share of total exports.
In China, mould for glass exports increased at an average annual rate of +7.5% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Turkey (+10.4% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (-4.2% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, surging by 11% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a perceptible contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the export price increased by 15% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2015 to 2021, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per unit), while China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+0.3%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.
Mould For Glass Imports
Imports in Asia
In 2021, purchases abroad of moulds for glass increased by 74% to X units, rising for the seventh year in a row after two years of decline. In general, imports continue to indicate a remarkable increase. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, mould for glass imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 17%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
Imports by Country
China represented the main importing country with an import of about X units, which amounted to 54% of total imports. Turkey (X units) took a 15% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Thailand (5.4%). The following importers - India (X units), Iran (X units), the Philippines (X units) and the United Arab Emirates (X units) - together made up 12% of total imports.
China was also the fastest-growing in terms of the moulds for glass imports, with a CAGR of +44.5% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Turkey (+32.3%), Iran (+21.2%), the Philippines (+12.3%) and Thailand (+2.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. India and the United Arab Emirates experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. China (+46 p.p.) and Turkey (+11 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while the United Arab Emirates, India and Thailand saw its share reduced by -4.9%, -9.4% and -11% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest mould for glass importing markets in Asia were China ($X), Turkey ($X) and Thailand ($X), together comprising 45% of total imports. These countries were followed by the Philippines, India, Iran and the United Arab Emirates, which together accounted for a further 23%.
Among the main importing countries, Iran, with a CAGR of +10.0%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, falling by -33.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 5.6% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($X per unit), while China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (-1.5%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
