In terms of the main exporting countries, Indonesia, with a CAGR of +18.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, wooden frame non-upholstered seat imports shrank to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Moreover, India emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Asia, with a CAGR of +11.5% from 2012-2022. Hong Kong SAR, Israel, Iraq and Singapore experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Japan (-1.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand and Taiwan (Chinese) increased by +3.2, +2.5, +1.6 and +1.6 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, South Korea ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported non-upholstered seats with wooden frames in Asia, comprising 43% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Japan ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by China, with an 8% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in South Korea totaled +3.1%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Japan (+2.0% per year) and China (+2.7% per year).
