China experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of office or school supplies of plastics. At the same time, Vietnam (+4.9%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+2.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. In 2022, the export price in Asia amounted to $X per ton, growing by 7.5% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 29%. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, office supply imports shrank modestly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a pronounced decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 7.1% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Japan (X tons) represented the major importer of office or school supplies of plastics, committing 44% of total imports. The Philippines (X tons) held a 9.4% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by India (4.6%). The following importers - Indonesia (X tons), Thailand (X tons), Singapore (X tons), South Korea (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), Hong Kong SAR (X tons), Iraq (X tons) and Qatar (X tons) - together made up 25% of total imports.
Japan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of office or school supplies of plastics. At the same time, Malaysia (+11.6%), Thailand (+6.9%), Indonesia (+6.3%), South Korea (+5.0%), the Philippines (+3.8%), Taiwan (Chinese) (+2.0%), Iraq (+1.7%) and India (+1.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Malaysia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Asia, with a CAGR of +11.6% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Qatar (-4.0%), Singapore (-6.0%), the United Arab Emirates (-7.5%) and Hong Kong SAR (-14.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Japan (+5.7 p.p.), the Philippines (+3.7 p.p.), Indonesia (+2.4 p.p.), Thailand (+2.3 p.p.) and Malaysia (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Singapore (-1.7 p.p.), the United Arab Emirates (-2.4 p.p.) and Hong Kong SAR (-5.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In 2022, the import price in Asia amounted to $X per ton, falling by -5.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 6.1%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
