Israel (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

In value terms, Saudi Arabia ($X), Cyprus ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 60% share of total exports.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Saudi Arabia, with a CAGR of +23.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Moreover, Israel emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Asia, with a CAGR of +82.3% from 2012-2021. Japan and Bahrain experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. China (+38 p.p.), South Korea (+5.2 p.p.), Israel (+3.5 p.p.) and Lao People's Democratic Republic (+2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Singapore, Hong Kong SAR and Saudi Arabia saw its share reduced by -2.4%, -3.7% and -5.7% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported orange juice (single strength) in Asia, comprising 38% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Japan ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by South Korea, with a 7.7% share.

In China, orange juice (single strength) imports expanded at an average annual rate of +26.8% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Japan (+1.0% per year) and South Korea (+15.3% per year).
