In value terms, organo-inorganic compounds exports soared to $X in 2021. In general, exports saw a strong increase. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
China prevails in exports structure, accounting for X tons, which was near 80% of total exports in 2021. Thailand (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 7.1% share, followed by India (6%). Japan (X tons) held a little share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in China stood at +10.7%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Japan (+5.0% per year) and India (+8.2% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 58% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.1%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while Thailand ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+4.4%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Imports in Asia
In 2021, purchases abroad of organo-inorganic compounds (excluding organo-sulphur compounds) was finally on the rise to reach X tons after two years of decline. In general, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 19%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, organo-inorganic compounds imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, India (X tons), South Korea (X tons), Japan (X tons), Indonesia (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), China (X tons), Turkey (X tons), Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) and the United Arab Emirates (X tons) represented the key importer of organo-inorganic compounds (excluding organo-sulphur compounds) in Asia, mixing up 81% of total import. Thailand (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of +15.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, South Korea ($X), Japan ($X) and China ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 42% share of total imports. Taiwan (Chinese), India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 46%.
Among the main importing countries, the United Arab Emirates, with a CAGR of +16.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 21% against the previous year. Import price indicated a tangible expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, organo-inorganic compounds import price increased by +74.4% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 24% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($X per ton), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
