The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 46%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, aromatic monoamines exports surged to $X in 2021. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 28%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, aromatic monoamines imports rose significantly to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 21%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, South Korea (X tons) and India (X tons) were the largest importers of other aromatic monoamines and their derivatives, salts thereof in Asia, together creating 60% of total imports. Singapore, with a CAGR of +22.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, dropping by -12.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the import price increased by 21%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2016 to 2021, the import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per ton), while Taiwan (Chinese) ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
