Total exports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +7.5% over the last decade. China dominates hoses structure, resulting at X tons, which was approx. 69% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Turkey (X tons) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), together generating a 12% share of total exports. South Korea (X tons), Israel (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons) held a minor share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses exports from China stood at +8.3%. At the same time, Vietnam (+31.8%), the United Arab Emirates (+11.7%), Israel (+9.1%), Taiwan (Chinese) (+4.6%) and Turkey (+1.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia, with a CAGR of +31.8% from 2012-2022. South Korea experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses supplier in Asia, comprising 68% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 5.2% share of total exports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with a 4.8% share.
In China, exports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses expanded at an average annual rate of +10.1% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Turkey (+3.2% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+4.1% per year).

Imports in Asia
In 2022, purchases abroad of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses decreased by -2.1% to X tons for the first time since 2017, thus ending a four-year rising trend. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 11%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then declined modestly in the following year.
In value terms, imports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses amounted to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 17% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
Imports by Country
The purchases of the twelve major importers of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses, namely Iraq, Indonesia, China, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Japan and South Korea, represented more than two-thirds of total import. In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses in Asia, comprising 18% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Turkey ($X), with an 8.7% share of total imports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 7.4% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in China totaled +4.6%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+8.8% per year) and Thailand (+2.3% per year).
