Moreover, Pakistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +17.0% from 2012-2021. Japan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. India (+5.8 p.p.), China (+3.3 p.p.) and Vietnam (+3.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Singapore and Japan saw its share reduced by -1.6% and -2.9% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported acrylic polymers, in primary forms (excluding polymethyl methacrylate) in Asia-Pacific, comprising 44% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by India ($X), with a 9.8% share of total imports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 5.5% share.
