Australia represented the largest exporter of antimony ores and concentrates in Asia-Pacific, with the volume of exports finishing at X tons, which was approx. 65% of total exports in 2021. Thailand (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Myanmar (X tons). All these countries together took approx. 28% share of total exports. The following exporters - China (X tons) and India (X tons) - together made up 5.7% of total exports.

Moreover, India emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +23.8% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Thailand (-5.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Australia, Myanmar and India increased by +18, +6.3 and +2 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Australia ($X) remains the largest antimony ore and concentrate supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 84% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Thailand ($X), with a 7.2% share of total exports. It was followed by Myanmar, with a 5.4% share.

In value terms, antimony ore and concentrate imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a pronounced decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 38% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) was the main importer of antimony ores and concentrates, achieving 66% of total imports. Vietnam (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Thailand (X tons) and India (X tons). All these countries together took approx. 33% share of total imports.

Imports into China decreased at an average annual rate of -7.5% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Vietnam (+39.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +39.8% from 2012-2021. India experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported antimony ores and concentrates in Asia-Pacific, comprising 70% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Thailand ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by India, with a 9.4% share.

In China, antimony ore and concentrate imports shrank by an average annual rate of -6.1% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Thailand (+17.8% per year) and India (-4.4% per year).
