In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest artificial fur supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 88% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Thailand ($X), with a 4.6% share of total exports.

Thailand represented the major importing country with an import of around X tons, which accounted for 61% of total imports. Myanmar (X tons) held an 11% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Vietnam (6.5%), Cambodia (5.4%) and the Philippines (4.8%). The following importers - China (X tons) and India (X tons) - each recorded a 4.5% share of total imports.

Imports into Thailand increased at an average annual rate of +40.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Myanmar (+132.7%), Cambodia (+51.8%), the Philippines (+42.4%) and Vietnam (+25.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Myanmar emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +132.7% from 2012-2022. By contrast, India (-2.3%) and China (-8.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam increased by +52, +11, +5, +4.1 and +3.2 percentage points, respectively.

In value terms, China ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported artificial fur in Asia-Pacific, comprising 31% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Cambodia, with a 12% share.

In China, artificial fur imports expanded at an average annual rate of +12.8% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Vietnam (+20.9% per year) and Cambodia (+51.2% per year).

In 2022, the import price in Asia-Pacific amounted to $X per ton, growing by 9.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a abrupt setback.
