From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Indonesia (with a CAGR of +31.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Hong Kong SAR ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported binoculars in Asia-Pacific, comprising 35% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Japan ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Australia, with a 14% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Hong Kong SAR amounted to -2.2%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Japan (-1.1% per year) and Australia (+9.7% per year).
Import Prices by Country

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 44%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2020, and then declined in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per unit), while South Korea ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
