The second position in the ranking was taken by Japan ($X), with a 21% share of total exports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 3% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China stood at +3.6%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Japan (+27.3% per year) and Thailand (-8.0% per year).

In 2021, overseas purchases of boards, blocks and similar articles of vegetable fibre, agglomerated with mineral binders increased by 17% to X tons for the first time since 2017, thus ending a three-year declining trend. In general, imports, however, recorded a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 33% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
